Marathon?

I had a dream last night that I ran a marathon and after I thought, I actually feel OK! Some day I will run a marathon but last night we had our 4th Christmas workshop. 66 children, 5 stations, no major problems, lots of people helping and serving, happy faces all around. Good times! :-D

This morning I had a meeting at the HS for Carissa's 504. We were on the way and I wanted a drink of water and so I opened a water bottle and squeezed it onto my pants! Awesome. I used my glove to absorb as much as I could and then when the girls asked what I was going to do I said nothing and marched into the HS. I did take off my jacket and hold it strategically in front of my accident! Life! I would take that over other difficulties any day! I am blessed. Good children, husband and extended family. The gospel in my life. Having what we need and a vehicle to get me where I need to go. Life is good!

I think every Wednesday is going to throw me off with collaboration and this late start business but it did free up a few minutes to think this morning. :-D I was thinking about my last visit with my mom and I was telling her how I didn't think that I could do a certain something every day and with out hesitation my mom said, oh yes you could. How blessed am I to have such a wonderful mom that believes in me and is always on my side. I am so thankful for my family, the one I am from and the one I have now. There is always something new to get us out of our comfort zone! I am also thankful for a loving Heavenly Father who is always on my side believing that I can do a little better today, and loves me for whatever I am able to do today! Life is good!

I read this and I loved it. Can't wait for conference this weekend! This is by Dieter Uchtdorf.

“The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds, or abilities, we each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before. Everyone can create. You don’t need money, position, or influence in order to create something of substance or beauty. Creation brings deep satisfaction and fulfillment. We develop ourselves and others when we take unorganized matter into our hands and mold it into something of beauty. You might say, “I’m not the creative type. When I sing, I’m always half a tone above or below the note. I cannot draw a line without a ruler. And the only practical use for my homemade bread is as a paperweight or as a doorstop. If that is how you feel, think again, and remember that you are spirit child of the most creative Being in the universe. You may think you don’t have talents, but that is a false assumption, for we all have talents and gifts, every one of us. 5 The bounds of creativity extend far beyond the limits of a canvas or a sheet of paper and do not require a brush, a pen, or the keys of a piano. Creation means bringing into existence something that did not exist before—colorful gardens, harmonious homes, family memories, flowing laughter. What you create doesn’t have to be perfect. So what if the eggs are greasy or the toast is burned? Don’t let fear of failure discourage you. Don’t let the voice of critics paralyze you—whether that voice comes from the outside or the inside.

As you take the normal opportunities of your daily life and create something of beauty and helpfulness, you improve not only the world around you but also the world within you.

The wind blew in the first day of spring! I am thankful for new beginnings!

One of my favorite sayings is "take time to enjoy life's simple joys" because when I notice the little things that make me happy I remember that life is good!
